Don’t you just love road trips? Recently returned from Virginia. Check my past 8-9 reels! If you’ve followed me for a while you know how I drove cross country during the pandemic to return back to NYC after a couple of years in Vegas. With me I had my 8 month old daughter and my 4 year old son. Now my son is almost 8 years and my daughter 4 years. Since then we’ve driven to and from Florida twice. Taken multiple other road trips including visits to these states: Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Maryland (and DC), Delaware, New Jersey, Connecticut, West Virginia and Virginia. Longer trips. And weekend trips. I travel on a budget. In my 2007 Toyota Matrix. No wealth in my bank account. And my kids are always with me. I share my trips on IG Stories (I call them virtual road trips) and I create reels and permanent posts here on IG. A lot of material is waiting to be written out and posted on my website. If you’re planning on visiting @shenandoahnps and enter via the northern entrance by Front Royal you have severs options in terms of accommodation. I have previously stayed at the Hampton Inn property and this time I wanted to try the @doubletree - we did have a nice view over the golf course however I really wanted the Blue Ridge Mountains. The property in itself was decent. Nice staff. Undergoing renovation and the restaurant was closed. As a Diamond @hiltonhonors member I get a food & beverage credit and the only option I had was to use it for their breakfast buffet. They did want us to pay $12 a person even for the 4-year old which is usually free. Upon inquiring they offered to comp the kids. Only fair since they’ll eat a toast and call it breakfast 😅 I made sure to tip the breakfast attendant fairly since it isn’t his fault! During our exploring of Shenandoah National Park we took a night half way through Skyline Dr. Harrisonburg has several things I’d recommend looking in to activity wise but if you’re like me and just need a place for one night - this @hamptonbyhilton might just be it!
